Honda has recently released an exciting addition to their range of motorcycles, the CMX1100T Rebel. This new touring version of the Honda CMX1100 Rebel comes with an aerodynamic half-fairing and hard cases, perfect for long road trips. The standard edition of the bike also has an update for the 23YM model year with a new colour option available.

The CMX1100 Rebel is known for its serious performance thanks to its 1,084cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, providing a meaty character and an evocative exhaust note. The bike also features Honda Selectable Torque Control with integrated Wheelie Control, Cruise Control, and three default riding modes, all of which work together through Throttle by Wire to offer a comprehensive package of supporting electronics.

The high-quality running gear of the bike includes 43mm cartridge-style front forks, ‘piggyback’ rear shock absorbers, and a four-piston, radial-mount front brake caliper. Additionally, all lighting on the bike is LED, and there is a negative LCD instrument display. For those who prefer an automatic transmission, the 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) option is also available.

Honda first released the A2 licence-friendly 500cc twin-cylinder CMX500 Rebel in 2017, and it has been a popular choice ever since. In fact, in 2021, the CMX500 Rebel was the best-selling custom style machine in Europe. The bike was designed to capture younger riders who see their motorcycle as more than just transport, but as a lifestyle, an attitude, and an expression of their individual identity. The CMX500 Rebel offers easy accessibility and is easy to ride and live with, making it an excellent choice for those looking for something special.

In 2021, the CMX1100 Rebel was released, taking the essence of what made the smaller bike so special and adding more performance, more character, and a wealth of Honda’s most advanced technology. For the 23YM model year, the CMX1100 Rebel remains mechanically unchanged, but it does get an aesthetic boost from a brand-new paint choice and the introduction of the CMX1100T Rebel, a dedicated touring version designed for those who love the call of the open road.

The CMX1100 Rebel is a bike with a dual personality, designed for a leisurely laidback cruise, but also to offer an exciting riding experience when the opportunity presents itself. Riders moving up from smaller bikes will appreciate the manageable dimensions and weight, with a seat height of only 700mm, while more experienced riders will find instant, accessible enjoyment from the chassis’ handling potential, thanks to its stiff tubular steel frame, quality naked bike-spec suspension, and high-powered braking.

The stripped-back style of the big Rebel makes it the perfect 21st-century bobber, with minimalism speaking volumes. Steel mudguards front and rear sit atop fat tyres, while the circular headlight mixes old-school looks with new-school LED bulbs and mirrors the round, negative LCD instrument display. For modern-day convenience, there is also a USB-C charger in the under-seat storage space.

Overall, the CMX1100 Rebel is an excellent choice for those looking for a step up or across from a different segment altogether. With its advanced technology, exciting performance, and attractive price tag, it is sure to be a popular choice among riders.
